First influenced by the drumming of Neil Peart, Stephen Haake has studied with numerous local musicians and professors of music in the St. Louis community.  His mentors include Terry Sebastian at Bayless High School, Gary Gackstatter, Jerry Myers, and Brian Vaccaro at St. Louis Community College, and Kevin Gianino at Webster University, where Stephen thrived in concert percussion, music theory, piano, and small/big band jazz. 

 

Since graduating from Webster University in 2014 with a B.M. in Jazz Performance, Stephen has appeared throughout the region in Top 40/wedding bands, local original touring bands, the Six Flags drum show in 2018, musicals, cruise ships, A Trans-Siberian Orchestra Tribute, houses of worship, and numerous small/big band jazz groups.
