Dear Musicians,

You know more than most that the number of venues in the region who feature jazz music are few and far between. In fact, it's possible to count on one hand the number of bars, clubs and restaurants exclusively devoted to jazz.  Str8ahead.org is an effort to counter this trend and more.

We hope you will consider representing our mission to the community as a professional musician. You are no doubt sensitive in a unique way to the transformational power of music and its ability to bring people together. As a jazz musician, you have experienced first hand its joy, inspiration and healing.

We believe your music can reach a wide range of audiences in a way that can make our community a better place.
